BL.INK offers a built-in system view to quickly identify and manage links that return error codes. This gives account admins and users real-time visibility into broken or failing links.
What are Broken Links?
A link is considered “broken” when it returns any non‑2xx or non‑3xx HTTP status code. Common examples include:
- 404
- Not Found
- 500
- Internal Service Error
- 403
- Forbidden
- 503
- Service Unavailable
With the new backend monitoring engine in BL.INK, links are automatically checked on a scheduled basis without generating real clicks. Active links are checked daily, while idle links are checked weekly.
How to View Broken Links
To access broken links for your account, start by logging in to BL.INK.
Navigate to the Links page.
Click Views in the upper-right corner of the table.
Under System Views, select Broken Links.

- Standard Users
- can view and manage broken links they own.
- Admin Users
- can view and manage all broken links.
Managing Broken Links
From the Broken Links view, you can:
- Review the HTTP Status column to identify the issue.
- Click into any link for more details on the link or QR code or to update the destination.
- Export the filtered list to prepare a bulk import file if you prefer making updates in bulk.
