Creating QR Code Templates in Enterprise

QR Templates allow Enterprise admin users to create QR code templates for the entire organization. Create templates with custom colors, shapes, and logos for every brand and campaign.

Creating a New QR Code Template

To create a new QR code template, start by logging in to BLINK.

In the left navigation, click Admin > QR Templates. Then click the New QR Code Template button.

This will open the QR Code Template Details drawer.

First, add a template name. Then you have the option to add a template description. Next, select the domains you would like the template applied to before adjusting your design.

When you are selecting Domains, keep in mind that this template will then be available to all users who have access to the domain.

QR Code Customization Options

You can find customization options in the QR Code Template Details under Options.

Here you may adjust the size, colors, shapes, and branded image (if selected) for the QR code. If needed, you may also Expand the page for a larger view by clicking the three dots on the top right corner of the page.

Size - Enter the height and width for the new QR code template.  A QR code is a square, so the height and width will be fixed.

Colors - Select the colors for the QR code background, body, and eyes. Click on the color swatch to the right to customize the selected color. Click on RGB at the bottom to change the color system. BLINK offers RGB, HSL, and HEX.

NOTE:

Some lighter colors do not render properly. For example, yellow may be hard to scan. Always test your QR codes before distribution to ensure scannability.

Shapes - BLINK offers the ability to customize the shape of the QR code body, inner, and outer eyes.

Image - Upload an image or logo to appear in the center of the QR code.

Please pay attention to image size.  It can not exceed 2MB or the preview and QR may not load properly.

The preview on the top will automatically update to display the customization options. Click Create to save the template design.

Applying a QR Template

To apply a QR template to selected link(s), navigate to your Links page.

Select the link or links that you would like to download the QR codes for. Click Export.
