Creating a New QR Code Template
To create a new QR code template, start by logging in to BLINK. Select the domain from the drop-down at the top of the page.
In the left navigation, click Admin > QR Templates.
NOTE:
A user must be an account admin or domain admin to create and edit QR code templates.
At the top of the QR Templates page, enter the name of the new template and a description (optional). Then click + Add Template.
From here, update the template size, colors, shapes, and logos.
QR Template Customization Options
- Size
- Enter the height and width for the new QR template. A QR code is a square, so the height and width will be fixed.
- Colors
- Select the colors for the QR code background, body, and eyes.
- Click on the color swatch to the right to customize the selected color. Click on RGB at the bottom to change the color system. BLINK offers RGB, HSL, and HEX.
- Shapes
- BLINK offers the ability to customize the shape of the QR code body, inner, and outer eyes.
- Image
- Upload an image or logo to appear in the center of the QR code.
TIP:
Use the eye dropper tool to select a color from another file, website, or resource.
The preview on the right will automatically update to display the customization options. Click Save to save the template design.
Then, at the bottom of the page, set the domains. By adding the template to a domain, the template will be available to all users who have access to this domain.
Click on the drop-down, select the domain, and then click + Add Domain. Repeat this step for each domain for which the QR template should be enabled.
Once the domains have been assigned, the QR codes will appear in the Link Details for download.
To download a QR code with the new template, click on Links > My Links.
Search for the link and click on the keyword to view the Link Details.
On the lower right, select the QR template from the drop-down. Then click Download.
This will automatically download a zip file to your computer with the different file formats of the QR code.
