Why is BL.INK asking for my credit card?

BL.INK does not require a credit card to create a BL.INK account. Once your 21-day trial period has ended, your account will be converted to a Free account. For more information on our Plans and Pricing, please click here.

BL.INK does require a credit card when you want to acquire a domain name. We ask for a credit card to bill for the first year of registration for the domain name and to prevent the domain from accidentally expiring, resulting in you losing the domain.

If you do not want the domain name to autorenew, you can adjust the renewal settings once the domain name is acquired to turn off autorenew. This means that one year from your acquisition of the domain, you will lose the domain unless you turn on autorenew and enter valid credit card information.
