Adding your own domain allows you to create branded links through BL.INK. Branded links are a great way to promote specific content that’s anchored to your brand.
Setting Up Your Domain
First, log into your BL.INK account.
From the drop-down in the upper left, (where it reads "Smart Links") select Add New Domains.
To add a domain name you already own, click Add an existing domain in the top right, then follow the steps to configure your domain name to be used on BL.INK.
Note: You will need to log in to your domain name host account (where your domain was purchased or is currently hosted) to configure the domain’s DNS to use with BL.INK. Check out this article for more information on DNS configuration.
Keep in mind, if you’re adding an existing domain, the DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to complete.
If you'd like to buy a new domain, this same page allows you to simply search and purchase a domain through BL.INK. The search will return options for domains relevant to your search terms. Once you’ve completed checkout, your domain will be added to your BL.INK account automatically.
Once the domain has been added, you can then navigate back to the BL.INK homepage and click on the dropdown in the upper left, (where it reads "Smart Links"). You will see your newly added domain displayed.
Tip: You can also set your default domain from your account settings to ensure that your domain shows automatically instead of having to select it each time you create a link. To set the domain as your default, click your name in the upper right, and then click My Account.
From here, you’ll see Default Domain on the right. Click here and select your domain from the list.
